edit: ok went through the UD... identified my stuff... drank all obviously important potions... sold all the useless junk and headed for the barbarians glade to get the courage quest. Im thinking about going for the pyramid as its right around the corner... only problem would be the traps... can i disarm them without first detecting them? i know it works for doors.

I updated the post up there with the new dump
I'd say go for it. You've got teleportation, what more do you want? :max: Just teleport to the stairs, put on that cloak of invisibility and go up to the top level. Go on coward, teleport next to Rehetep and kill him with one or two castings of Burning Hands. Should be easy.

Even if you don't have teleport control, I don't think you'll have much to lose from those traps anyway: your HP is high enough you won't get killed straight away by a stone block trap, you're probably fire and acid resistant by now and having one or two items rust is annoying but not much of a problem. There's always a small chance of item destruction through fire or acid traps, of course, but it's unlikely to happen.

How long does it take to get "very close" to one's deity? I'm currently in Dwarf town sacrificing 1 Gp / turn. Correlius seems to be pleased though...

Is it wise to sacrifice cursed objects? How about one of the (multiplying?) Si?

How do you know how close you are with your diety?

How do I get Treasure hunter? Is it a talent, if so why can't I find it (I have Miser)?

The Sis go down very well with the gods as they are artifacts.  They're super-good for humans as deities "deeply appreciate" it when tools are sacrificed.  And I don't think there's any point in sacrificing 1 gp at a time.  Just dump all the gold you want to sacrifice on the altar at once.

EDIT: Tressure Hunter tends to be right at the end of the talent list.  Bear in mind you also need "Alert" (only avalible at the very start of the game) as well as miser.

To get Treasure Hunter you need Alert (initial, you can't get it after character creation) and Miser.

If you're only sacrificing 1 gp at a time? :max: Bloody ages.

Cursed status reduces their value, I think. It might be better to read a blessed scroll of uncursing and to sell them to Waldenbrook. Sis can be either sacrificed or used as a steady source of income. Just make sure you always keep one in your inventory.

Did you choose 'Alert' right at the beginning? If you didn't, you won't be able to get 'Treasure Hunter'. If you did get 'Alert', 'Treasure Hunter' should be somewhere near the bottom of the talent list as you scroll down.

I don't think there is. But if your deity is extremely annoyed with you, very low piety turns into extremely high piety because of a bug. So there's a small chance that it works the other way as well and that if you sacrifice too much you'll end up annoying your deity instead...

Yes, precrownings are actually a lot easier to get than postcrownings. Especially if you're neutral: all you need to do is get to 'absolutely close' and commit a chaotic act that'll get you to N- (like attacking or pickpocketing a peaceful monster).

You can do better than that.:max: 19 PV is a bit low for level 18.

I'd bless it and read it if I were you (after taking off the mummy wrapping, that is).

You'll definitely be able to get the ring at the Tomb of the High Kings, but you'd better be careful in the cavernous levels. If you don't mind a bit of boredom, you could train pickpocketing - no, wait you can't. What a shame you didn't get it before getting crowned... Oh well, train missile weapons, then. Or train climbing and visit the library. Or tell Blup about his mum. Try if you can take on the steel golemns at Darkforge yet. Clear the first two levels of the assassins' dungeon. And if you're feeling reckless, try to go to the bug temple.

Barely escaped the Dwarven graveyard alive... geez.
Am I suppose to turn invisible and sneak past that horde of undead? Nasty shadows went and made me all weak too (str 12 now). I don't think my lvl 14 priest can handle anything else at the moment. Maybe I should venture down the ID looking for some better equipment. I got a mithril flail and mithril tower shield and a damaged splint mail. Some dragon hide gloves, but that's mainly it.

Your priest ought to be able to turn most of them, surely? Bung a holy symbol in your tool slot, 'u'se it when undead are about and turn 'em. It also improves the efficacy of prayer apparently.

the turning undead isnt that effective. there are way to many there. if you make sure your DV(and mabye PV) is high enough you souldnt have any problem. my current char killed all of them and didnt get hit once at the graveyard... im not joking
