like i said the dos version has serious speed issues under XP... now if your running a gig or more your not going to notice but you REALLY notice it on an older machine.... with the front-end it runs at least as fast as it did on 98 if not even faster

edit:

DD if you cant find it i can send it to you through ICQ or Email
(or would it be possible to upload it to the server so anybody interested can try it in case nobody finds a link... strangly the link my friend used doesnt work for me :max: )

Got murderous orcish knife (+0, 1d3+2). I guess it is somewhat good, but how good is it? Instant kills or something?

Not quite. According to the guidebook it means "+1 extra damage die". You're almost certainly going to find a better weapon.

Are you sure you want to stick to using daggers? Spears, battle-axes or swords are much better in terms of damage...

Not when best bigger weapon you can find is like a normal short sword or at best perhaps a battle axe. I got four or five special daggers, which of one was adamantium, two mithril and one that murderous. My dagger level was already 7 and all other melees 0. Guess was I going to stick with daggers? And btw, made a typo in my last post, it was 1d4+8, not +9. :max:

Get treasure hunter.:ok: Orcish spears aren't too hard to find, though; they're (+1, 1d8+2) on the average, but if you collect a couple of them by fighting hill orcs and orc scorchers, you're sure to find one that's (+2, 1d8+5), possibly even some with prefixes and suffixes. The same goes for battle-axes: you can scum the ID for gnoll tension rooms. The average battle-axe is (+0, 1d6+2) - that's still better than your average broadsword, though - but gnolls usually drop so many of them it's fairly easy to find a good one.
The only decent type of non-artifact dagger is probably daggers of death (+1, 5d5+2), but they're fairly rare and as a rule you only ever find them with characters that haven't been training daggers.:max:

Oh. Then you're indeed lucky. Maybe even lucky enough to find a dagger of death, who knows?:max:
