It most certainly does. Don't try it unless you've got enough food with you, or you can easily starve yourself to death - happened to me once.:ot:

No idea, it can do anything. All you can do is try, unless you have scroll of identify (which it might also be if you don't have it).

:) Getting off-topic, but all of the sudden it just hit my mind and I liked the idea! But back to topic:

I can't understand how someone can keep his/her monk alive longer than few moments??? They are seemingly powerful combatants, but I always manage to die in some way. Perhaps it's just me. So far it's been spellcasters, that have fared well... Back to Dark Elven Priestess!!! :ot:

Monks are fighters, basically; they're not as tough as actual fighters, but at least they start with a few nice skills, such as healing, concentration and herbalism (I think). If you manage to survive to level 10 or so, they're actually quite good, but so far I've only managed that twice.

You've got a completely different style of playing, though, so you might as well have a bash at it.:ot:
I never know what to do with mindcrafters or necromancers. They usually die trying to save the puppy.

Hmm, that might be good roleplaying for a chaotic, but it's also a bit of a foolish thing to do, because it curses and dooms you.

I have a feeling that even Onn is powerless to help me, but is there any way to recover a character from a system crash?  I was playing a nice 14th-level weaponsmith when my machine froze - no mouse, no keyboard, no nothing.  A cold boot was the only way out of it.  Now I fear my character is irretrievably lost.  Am I right?
Today is a good day for pie.

Well, my most successful character so far (randomly generated Dwarven Fighter - really dull to play, and had no idea what anything was without wielding it first due to her inability to read, which was frustrating) just got killed by a swamp hydra when trying to find where to go next after doing the initial Terinyo quests (puppy got itself killed by a cave lion) and fighting all the way to the HMV only to find there wasn't a lot there of any use to her apart from the shop. Bah.
