Guys, could you please attach the character files to your posts or at least snip irrelevant information? It makes the thread very hard to read...:bleh:

@MdaG: I'd suggest that first of all you sacrifice stuff until you're at "very pleased", bless your potions of water, dip the scroll of uncursing into one of them and uncurse all the cursed items in your inventory. Then eat four morgia roots, put the moss of mareillon in your toolslot, press 'u' twice and put it back in your pack. If you know where to get more of those two herbs, you could go and get some more first (as you don't have the herbalism skill, all the herbs you get will be cursed and need to be uncursed before they do any good).
One thing you definitely need to do is get rid of Moonsickle, because that's where you got your corruption from and you'll get corrupted even further if you continue to carry it around with you. Since you're lawful, I'd suggest that you sacrifice it for the extra lawful boost.
You're right, your equipment isn't all that great, but if you spend some time in a place where monsters respawn quickly, like the cavernous level of the puppy cave or the big room, you should find something better. Only if you're sure you can handle it, though; both can easily get crowded by summoners. You could also try blessing your potions of invisibility and making a quick dash through the small cave and to the unremarkable dungeon (bless the scroll of magic mapping if necessary, go to the cave, drink a potion of invisibility BEFORE entering it, read the scroll, go on coward, try to avoid the monsters and just go for the stairs; don't bother about the blanket). You should try to find a decent shield for additional protection as well. And obviously it's a waste for an archer not to have a missile weapon in his pack. Go hunt a few kobolds or barbarians...
However, there is one you can do now: wear your hooded cloak and your uncursed gauntlets (that's an extra +1 +3 DV/PV bonus). The amulet of order won't get you any further than L, so you might as well exchange it for the amulet of speed.
Anyway, don't try to go deeper into the caverns of chaos too soon, or you'll probably get killed.

I was chased by a quick and large stone contraption which did not only hit hard it spat fire at me as well. I was losing HP fast and since my adamantine longsword hardly put a dent it it I equipped Moonsickle and chopped him up. Then I tried my cursed uncurse scroll to get rid of Moonsickle, but now learned that it doesn't work that way :bleh: . Currently staring at the altar in Dwarftown wondering what to do next  :D

Don't worry, Daka, swords of sharpness don't come with prefixes or suffixes anyway. Just like phase daggers.:D
Oh, and by the way: you can't wish for prefixes and suffixes at all.

:bleh:

Reminds me of the one time I've ever got a wish from a pool.  The last thing I'd got from the pool was the snakes one, and, since I was low level; they alomst killed me.  When I was on top of the pool I was bleeding, poisoned and had a single hitpoint left.  Not seeing an alternative, I drank again form the pool.  The best I could hope for was to be healed and then to be able to use the First Aid skill, or drink more from the pond to stay alive.

After I got the wish I weighed up the different alternatives, I considered asking for healing, but I wasn't sure what that would give, so I wish for an amulet of life saving.  Immediately after receiving it I died, and the amulet saved my life.

I died on the next level of the dungeon, but it's a good story all the same, and I one time I got "He cheated death 1 time" on my score sheet.

EDIT: Oh, and when wishing for any items, always wish for the plural (swords of sharpness, seven league boots, etc).

If you've got some money to spare, just have Grod repair it, bless the oil of rust removal and rustproof it once and for all.:D

Raffles, IIRC I didn't get shield but just recently. And I can't remember why I had Berserk on, but I usually don't use it. Sickness came from a giant rat...

Gah! I've yet again reached the phase in which I've grown rather tired of my own ADOM characters, but I was thinking maybe somebody else might like to experiment with them for a bit - beat the game if you can.:ot:
I can't upload single savegames for some reason, so I've created a rar archive that includes a level 43 dwarven beastfighter, a level 21 human barbarian, a level 20 grey elven monk and a level 20 grey elven wizard. The monk is my most recent character and is just about ready to tackle the Tower of Eternal Flames, with the others I've no idea, as it's been a while since I last played them...

Are you sure?:ot: I just tested it and it worked fine for me. Are you using WinZip, perhaps?

Nope, the problem isn't when I try and decompress it, I use PowerArchiver (the link is in the "Friends" section in the Abandonia downloads) and I've never had problems before.  ANyway, as you can see, the problem seems to be with the file itself:

It's filesize is zero, I've downloaded it a few times and it's still zero.  Quite strange.

Works without a problem for me.

I suggest that you download and try WinRar. Would be far from the first time I encounter such an error, and updating to the newer version of the right program for the file always solve this.
