Whoohoooho!

Just got me a nice Dagger of Mayhem (+0, 3d4+6)

Giving me a nice final +20 bonus to hit, 3d4+16 damage


Edit:
Me thinks I am going to start to learn dual handling, because if I combine it with my Short Sword of Slaughtering, I get:

Right hand: +15 bonus to hit, 3d4+16 damage
Left hand: +10 bonus to hit, 2d8+10 damage

Wheee: I found a cave with lots of Steel Golems. Lovely XP!!! I've gone up two levels already! I'm now a level 8 character!

You're doing Darkforge that soon? Wow.

@Juni: to get crowned you have to
1. keep sacrificing until you're at "absolutely close"
2. be of extreme alignment (C-, N= or L+)
3. NOT be wearing an item that dooms and/or curses you
once you meet all those requirements, you just pray.

isnt there an artifact generation limit? or is that just for pre/post crowning?

It's just for pre- and postcrowning. Crownings are much less of a fuss. Theoretically, you can get crowned at level 1 if you're either playing a bard or VERY patient.

Well, I ran out of there when those golems started breathing fire. I could handle them when they where just slow and stupid. That fire thing is a bit too much for me. Hehe. But I'll be back

That's still impressive, though. Darkforge is quite a dangerous place (I usually go there just before or just after the Tower of Eternal Flames.) If your character hadn't been a troll, he probably wouldn't have lived.

I think I'll go get the Golden Gladius - although, if I remember correctly, it sucked. But at least I can give it to that Dwarf dude

Urrrg... one of the contestants is a mountain lion... And I who haven't killed any kittens yet

I wonder if it count as an accident kill, if I riccochet an acid stream of the wall, and accidentaly kill the kitten...

Wait until you get the papyrus invitation (level 13 it appears near you, you are alerted).

EDIT: And it's worth waiting to complete the arena until the dwarf elder tells you to, that way you get the gladius and a a pile of other (and argueably better) stuff.
