16 is pretty high for a dark elf, you'll be lucky to get it higher if it's even possible. It's also probably worth dropping some heavy stuff so you're not strained when you get into a fight

@Tom: Claw bugs have an armour-piercing attack which ignores PV, as well as several attacks/round - they're nasty critters!

Juni, I suggest that you try to kill that jackalwere as quickly as possible before it can summon even more jackals. You'll encounter rather a lot of jackals in the game, and you'll be surprised at how experienced they'll get. Not worth it. If you want more xp, just dive into the CoC.
About the strength, 16 is about the maximum you can raise it to by carrying stuff. You'll find other ways of increasing it, though (like eating certain corpses and drinking certain potions).

Just the general atmosphere is corrupting, more so in certain locations.

It's a bit annoying, as they get me a chaos power, and I try to play as good as possible, so chaos powers...

Edit: Woah! Just found a Wererat Figurine Of Wondrous Powers. What's that for? It sounds special.

If you put the figurine in your tool slot and squeeze it, a wererat will appear. If the figurine was cursed, the wererat will be hostile, if it was uncursed it won't care about you and if it was blessed you'll be the proud owner of a tame pet wererat.

Those bloody jackals gave me absolutely no challenge and I slaughtered them soon. And it really looks like I can't get my strength higher than 16 by carrying stuff... Well, you can't have everything. So the CoC, where it is? ATM I'm some dungeon, where was some sort of arena and I'm at level 11, only 3k+ exp to level 12.

Yes, that's the Caverns of Chaos. You'll be finding your first artifact soon.
Just be careful in the Big Room. Find the stairs quickly and go down to the next level at once.

Atm, I'm at D: 6 level. Haven't seen such a big room I should had ran through... But my tactics is normal, I'm at level 12 and check out my weapon stats! Adamantium broad sword + orcish knife!

Edit: Ok, it was next level... what's so scary in there?

You don't have any corridors there and there's lots of monsters spawning. Pretty much anything can appear in the Big Room. Summoners in particular can get very annoying.

Edit: Your PV is still extremely low. You really should consider switching to a one-handed weapon and a shield.

Okay... just got an idea, possibly poor, but still. If I eat troll, do I start regenerating??? And small update to my weapons: adamantium long sword (+0, 1d8+7) +adamantium scimitar (+0, 1d8+7)! Resulting (normal tactics): +26/+30 1d8+16! Wheee! I've never had anything like this, so please forgive me my naive enthusiasm.

Sort of. If you get the "your blood courses faster" message, your natural HP regeneration rate has improved.

Nice weapons, but do watch your PV. 8 isn't enough to survive past Dwarftown.
