Bottom-right IIRC. The letter before it indicates where you are. For instance, PC:3 is the third level of the puppy cave.

First of all, AJ is going to whine about your low PV. Personally I have to ask why did you carry those rocks? I also find throwing knives pretty useless and wonder why did you get stuck with your initial dagger? And ever heard of Alert + Miser + Treasure Hunter? You'll find much more good items, which of some are truly good. Though you may find them even without the Treasure Hunter, but it's easier that way. But you have to take that Alert in your character creation to get Treasure Hunter. Very pious, not bad, but try to sacrifice more. Do you know what items are best for sacrifice for each race? If not, check the manual. Very useful. And by now I'm sure AJ has already replied to this...
Edit: Or then not! Wheeeeeee!

...70 years... LOL

That was your first archer, right?
Not bad.
It's very easy to become overconfident with them, because quite frankly, they rock on the first couple of levels. It's just that after a while, the advantage they have over other classes decreases, so you need to be prepared for that. I.e. you need decent armour and a shield and you should try to train melee weapons. And don't be tempted to dive through the dungeons too quickly, just because the first couple of levels were a breeze.
Being frozen by that ogre magus was unfortunate, but then again, you shouldn't really have been this far down the CoC at such an early stage.
Just be a little more careful and you'll be fine, though. Good luck with your next character.

Man I just love it when I've adventured around for a while, have a 15level character or so and then it all ends in being killed by a kitten..
I've been playing ADOM for years, I don't even remember at which version I started.. And you know what? It's still interesting. It's still fun. The challenge is unbelievable.. This is an exceptional game. I just don't get it, how can its life span be so damn long?
I've never even beaten the game, never gotten one of the possible endings.. But still I love this one. I just hoped Biskup would have had the energy to keep working on it, although I can't really think of any updates it would need.. But still, just to know that it would still be nurtured by its original father.
I guess I'm thinking a bit too romantic now..

Bwuaha
I don't know about that, Juni Ori
I just played ADOM for 32 minutes.. Had a strong Trollish Beastfighter, levelled him up and stuff. He could carry loads of stuff so I stocked up on iron rations and large rations (since Trolls require so much food) and everything was going ok, I even found a lot of gold (even though I didn't have Miser), then suddenly, when I was retrieving the mad carpenter (once again, heh) from the dungeons, a blink dog appeared right in the only tunnel from which I could have gotten upwards to the healer... Suddenly the whole cave was filled with blink dogs
Well atleast I got a nice score.. bleh

My first (and only, so far) winning character was a trollish beastfighter, crowned with the Bracers of War. They'll go far if you have the patience to level them up. Right now, after taking a lengthly sabbatical from ADoM, I've upped my goals to an ultra lawful ending. Seeing as how long it took me to beat it the first time, which ended up being around 4 years, playing on and off, JADE will probably be out by the time I manage an ultra ending...

Sorry for the double post, but I think this deserves attention:
This was posted at RGRA today, and although being *somewhat* biased, makes you wonder if the person writing it had to do research on ADoM or if s/he plays it already and just figured that some support of the democratic party would be nice with elections coming up and all.

As Nov 7 draws near, it is a very exciting time in the Drakalor Chain!
Guth'Alak (D) has announced he will retire, leaving his seat in the
House of Congress open this year. The candidates vying to replace him
are Tywat Pare (D) and Kranf Niest ®. Mr. Pare promises to put a
stop to the horrific war in Iraq. Mr. Niest, on the other hand, says
the road to success is to sharply increase funding into Halliburton.
Pare is running a grassroots campaign and flourishing in the polls.
Meanwhile, the Republican National Party has heaped over $2 million
into Niest's struggling campaign. "Kranf Niest is the right man for
Washington, he is a respected doctor and his character is beyond
question," said Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist ®, himself a former
doctor. "The rumours that Mr. Niest takes bribes from pharmaceutical
companies are completely baseless!" cried Rep. Dennis Hastert ®, the
House Speaker.
Conventional wisdom says incumbents are invincible, but that doesn't
seem to be the case around the Drakalor Chain this cycle. Senator
Dwarven Artificer ® is facing a serious challenge from political
newcomer Khelevaster (D). "Mr. Artificer and his party have fed us
nothing but lies for the last 12 years, and it's time to send
Washington a message," shouted Khelevaster, while battling a greater
balor hired by his opponent. "Mr. Artificer has voted to block minimum
wage increases twenty nine times, while voting to raise his own
paycheck eighteen times!" Artificer's campaign spokesperson, Keethrax,
responded with dire warnings: "If Khelevaster comes into office, he'll
do nothing to stop the recent waves of illegal immigrant 'adventurers'
pouring in through the northeast passes!"
The Drakalor press, led by Rehetep, has come under fire from election
reform groups, who claim the Papyrus Scroll (Drakalor's only newspaper)
has a ridiculous Republican bias. "Nonsense!" said Rehetep in an
exclusive interview, "Rehetep endorses Republicans because of all the
great corpses coming home from Iraq, not because of political bias!
May King Bush and his crusade last forever!" Rehetep then animated the
corpse of a Marine lance corporal and enlisted the zombie Marine into
his press staff.
The Drakalor Chain is not the only place where races are unexpectedly
close. Throughout the nation, citizens are fed up with the corrupting
effects of the Republicans, and demand change. This Tuesday, citizens
everywhere have a rare chance to bring some chaos resistance to
Washington by voting Democrat.
