I find that whenever I play a mindcrafter, I'm reluctant to use their special powers because:

A] you don''t get weapon marks
B] wizards have trained me to watch the amount of spells I cast (or they'll run out)

You can't do anything about the first one (although confusion works great!), but you don't need to worry about the second because mindcrafters don't have that less-connected-to-mana-flow problem.

Well, I don't think it will be over-confidence that kills this character. I think "just killing time and not really doing anything" is going to do it for me. I've spent more than 75 days in game time already, and I still haven't been able to kill a single Slow Shadow.

In other news, I have gotten my first corruption: Your skin is covered by tough scales. Cool PV increase, but rather sucky that my Dex is now down to 13. And my once so beautiful troll - now has a rather weak appearance of 6.

The best place you can look for the slow shadow is the big room under DwarfTown.

The big room is above dwarftown, actually, and that's where Tom has been looking all along, as far as I know...

I started in the Big Room, then when the Cat Invasion began, I started going down the Infinite Dungeon to Level 10 and back up again - collecting all the neat stuff, travel to Dwarftown - sell the crap and keep the rest - then repeat over and over again.

Now I just took the Dwarven Graveyard quest and whooped some zombie ***, got both artifacts, killed the Necromancer (probably one of Tokyo Rose's characters :P ) And now I am back in Dwarftown wondering if I should start descending down the CoC, or if I should do something else - like Darkforge, the Gremlin Cave, Assassins Guild, The Tower of Eternal Flames - or something else.

I would like to loose that Corruption of mine - and I do have a potion of Cure Corruption - but as it is a quest item, and I only have one, I am kinda reluctant to use it. :P

Quest item?:P You won't be able to do the quest you're probably thinking of unless you're chaotic, though, which means you'd have to become a fallen champion. Which means you couldn't go for an ultra ending anyway. Just bless it and drink it.

- You can try the steel golemn on the first level of Darkforge if you like, but I think it'll still be too soon. But if you haven't done the pyramid yet, you should probably do that first, before Rehetep closes the gate.
- You definitely can't take on the assassin prince at this point, so better leave that for later.
- If you want to do some gremlin scumming, don't do it in the cave, do it in the dwarven graveyard - much nicer drops and no background corruption.
- For the Tower of Eternal Flames you may want to wait until you've got a (blessed) ring of ice and some dragon slaying missiles dipped in poison, plus a wand of poison if at all possible. The wyrm is very vulnerable to poison.
