now this looks interesting
although the reviewer surely did contradict himself in the positives and the negatives good puzzles+non linear gameplay=good gameplay, while negatives say gameplay as well -------------------- www.abandonia.com < www.reloaded.org

sorry 'bout that
my first review But the gameplay is both positive and negative to be honest. It's fun and non-linear but can get a bit repetitive and the combat can become annoying. Also, if you try to invest in all skills rather than a few you might not be able to progress. I'll try to be more clear next time. |

It's non-linear as you are free to go and do whatever you want.
But the battles can get VERY repetitive if you are not in the mood. As for the puzzles, although fun, it can be annoying to come back to the same chest 10 times to get the message "Dex too low".(How much is enough ?!) And you need quests for XP as monsters award none. It's a bit of a paradox, I know. |

Hi, folks!
What a good game! I've been engrossed with this one for a couple of days now. It's really well-balanced -- if you think ahead, you always have just enough skill to allow you to progress, without it becoming too easy. But now I'm stuck! I hope this is an appropriate place to ask for a hint (apologies if not). I'm doing the Blackmire Swamp module, and I'm in the lower level of the temple. There's a diamond-shaped room with four cases -- you're supposed to put a candle in each of the four cases. I've found the "Law" candle, but I've looked everywhere and can't find any of the other three candles. Any advice on how to find them would be very appreciated -- I'm going crazy over this! The hint file on the game's website was no help on this one. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Hey Billy-o
Yes, this is exactly the right place to asks for hints in the game. Unfortunately, I can't help you with this game. Maybe when Razing32 comes online next, he could help you? -------------------- |

Razing, if you highlight black lines in Billy-O's post, you'll see where he is stuck.

I found this in the official walkthrough :
Head to the northeast corner of the Temple Grounds map and locate the chest containing the Sanctuary, Spirit and Cosmos candles. Take them all. (the walkthrough isn't exactly a hint) Does it help ? If not let me know , and I'll give you the exact location. |

This game
![]() (you don't have this smiley?!) The battles may be repetitive, but they crack me up! *swoosh*whack*bash*whack*bash*ERK* But, unfortunately, I am mega-stuck. Again. This time properly. And the developer site is dead. And the walkthru is nowhere I can find... So - I have had to bite the bullet and peer into this nest of vile non-pirates (jk I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me..? *nudge Razing* There are a few places I would like to ask help with, so I won't list them until someone's around. Thanks! -------------------- ![]() |
