Well first time topic for something like this but unlike some of the other topics ya see around here, , oh yes it's a music topic.

Now as you may or may not know I'm in a band, that's right you read correctly a band, so far it's only two members myself and Dvoe, with me on vocals and him on lead guitar, we got two more guys coming on board to play lead guitar and bass respectively so that leaves only a drummer for our band. We're a metal band, definied by our progressive/power nature that we encorporate into the music.

At this point we've been working hard on our music, Dvoe's been working on composing a lot of the tracks and I myself have been working on lyrics for the tracks. We've been getting pretty far and got quite a bit of tracks in the pipeline ready to start recording once we get the chance. So far from tracks we have shown gotten good response, so will be interesting to see what all of you think. That's pretty much all to know about the band except if you want to hear some of the tracks that we have done head here: http://www.myspace.com/aversionpawn, as of right now though no band name, so ignore all that on the page, although album name for when we get some tracks ready, will be Aversion Pawn.

Right now 4 tracks up, only song that is actually complete is Forbidden which I highly recommend that anyone wanting to listen to our material check out first as this is one of our favourite songs that we have done, The joy in sorrow and The River Knights are just instrumental for now without lyrics and Sands of Time is an early version that I have yet to record for but Dvoe did.

So why open this topic you might be saying, well other than the times at our site, I will be uploading cover songs by yours truly for you to hear, and I do value opinions by anyone who stops by here, so if ya got something to say about my style, song, etc.. feel free to suggestion or comment or bash LOL whatever cept the bashing.

And Finally two cover songs for the start of this topic, most recently done this month. Two that I really enjoyed doing and turned out pretty good I thought, so check em out and tell me what ya think, be it the music or the art.

It's like there's a party in my ears and your band is invited!

You're not bad. You made quite an effort there.

Oh and Neurotically Yours is over-rated to be honest. Still, it's your tastes.

I agree, it's pretty good guys. I look forward to hearing more of it. You may also want to put a song or two on garageband.com when you get a few more down.

Where/how do you record this, btw, if I may ask?
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Mic/Guitar input adaptors into Soundblaster Live. Music captured, tracked and edited on Adobe Audition 1.5. Simple setup and we manage to get some decent quality recordings out of it.

Thanks for the comments, look forward to hearing more. Been working on some of the more lengthy elaborate tracks like the title track (Aversion Pawn) lately. Site will be updated on a fairly regular basis. Its only the beginning here, hope you guys find something to your liking.

Thanks for the comments  For myself I use a labtec headset to do my recording, much better than my old mic, this weekend hopefully we'll be able to get some more tracks up, got quite a bunch down, so hopefully we can get that taken care of and post em at the site.

Got some more work done yesterday. Work is coming along well on the title track which will be the big centerpiece of the album. DeathDude layed down some great vocals which I think are his best to date. Lyric writing also clicked, I really think we're got a great song with a deep message here. Song is called Aversion Pawn which is also the working title for the album. Epic song, clocking at over 10 mins. Doing some final editing and backup vocals today, and it should be on the site within the next day or so.

We're really cookin now

It really was a combined effort with Dvoe helping finish off some of the lyric parts I had written to make it flow, but it really turned out well, props to him for the editing he did on the song and the added effects turned out really great. Wrote a song tonight at work so hopefully we'll use it in future. Already got next two songs planned out Betrayal is the name of one and River Knights/Holy Templars (Name for this one still in the air) upcoming lyrics for templars done and betrayal I think dvoe's got some or we'll use some of mine, and also just realized joy in sorrow as well, going to be a busy while for us.

And of course can't leave this post without a cover so enjoy one of my favourite Iron Maiden recent songs.

Iron Maiden- Rainmaker
