So what are some of your favourite live music dvds from some of your favourite bands? Any that stick out in your mind, putting out a good live show is always important, and there are some bands that do just that.
Well some of my choices are Iron Maiden's Rock in Rio, a really good dvd that's probably better than most of their studio work, most of the songs they perform at the show sound even better than the studio releases. Rush in Rio also was a pretty good show too from what I saw, Queen live at Whimbley I think was the name of that dvd was also very nice to watch, seeing them live must have been quite the experience, sigh if only they were around today still performing.
Finally any of Joe Satriani live stuff is killer to watch, just watching him jam is just hypnotizing to say the least, so what are some of your choices?

The Led Zep DVD is ridiculously good, and has clearly had a lot of work put into it. Other than that one, Goldfrapp's Wonderful Electric (Live in London) is an awesome pair of performances.
Apparently, the James DVD Pleased to Meet You is supposed to be good; not seen it myself though.

I step outside DVDs and take good old VHS version of Iron Maiden - Raising Hell. Just hilarious and still excellent!

Nothing wrong with putting in vhs I say, vhs/dvd as long as it's a live something of a band it's all good.

Well, performance isn't best, I agree, but what makes it great is that horror illusionist in it!

Somehow I don't think that makes it a big incentive for buyers just that.

I found the horror illusionist segments lame and contrived The whole Raising Hell performance was mediocre and uninspired. Everyone knew before hand that this show was Bruce Dickinson's last with the band. You can tell the band doesn't give their all.
btw another great DVD is, Opeth - Lamenations

Floyd rules I still remember my grade 12 social studies teacher bringing in the wall, to watch some bits and pieces, he was quite the fan my teacher was.

Can't believe I forgot:
Joe Satriani - Live in San Fransisco
Probably the most amazing concert DVD I own.
G3 - Live in Denver is pretty impressive as well.
