Sorry if this is a bit of a stupid question, but why is the game called Buccaneer, when there's nothing obviously piratey about it?

Well maybe not directly directly but there are those piratey elements in the game I suppose that could lend itself to the title, 
or maybe it was just for effect.

I thought the characters were quite good for such a short game. I've played games that took hours to complete with characters less fleshed-out (most notably new adventuregames such as 'NiBiRu', 'The Black Mirror' and 'Runaway')

Yeah the developer really made an effort putting some thought into the characters, I really hope we can see the sequel to this one very soon.

There was originally supposed to be a 'Part 2' of the game, which would continue the story. Unfortunately, it never saw the light of day.

Heh, try damsel! I think it can challenge any claimant to the title of "too short, too easy"
But it's still a nice little game. There is supposed to be a sequel, but, as far as I know, it has not been released
