Yeah, I can see what you mean there. Might redo those later. Maybe a darker blue?
Anyway, I've been, as usual, busy again.
I like the bottom left one's border alot, but Im not so sure about the top right. Maybe I should redo that one in another way?

The bottom left corner looks very nice, and the picture in the top right corner just needs its bottom left edge (this is getting confusing...) rounded off a bit. You might have to sacrifice part of the hand for that, though. I quite like the bottom right corner, but it would be even better if you could somehow add in the top of his head (I assume it was cut off in the resource pic). About the top left corner, the black border is just too strong. The rest of the picture doesn't actually use black outlines all that much, so it stands out a bit more than it should, really...
About the other picture: any colour used somewhere in the background picture should do the trick, I think.

Aye, the image was cut off in the source pic. I might look into "making" the top of his head sometime, Tai mentioned it on msn a couple of days ago.
I dont mind cutting off the hand, and I certainly agree about the rounding. Thanks for that
And the black outline really does make him stand out. Editing time.. *gets out chainsaw*
Oops, wrong tool..
I see why I always use plenty of layers now

About that last picture I agree with A.J.
About that earlier one, definately darker colors and less cyan, more blue color would be far more better.
Overall good work and you definately are improving! Slowly, but steadily, which is possibly the best option.

Ok.. *checks to see which versions of pictures have been posted*
Ok, I've messed around with the colours:
Maybe I could have used some dark blues, but I think its mostly good.
Changed the borders like AJ suggested, and think it's quite good too. I thought about moving them around, but decided not to.

Much better.
My only advice now is to make CERTAIN your resource pictures will "fit" into their places. You have for example legs that just stop, never good it breaks the flow of the piece. For pictures like that, if you are going to use the fade into the background, cover the missing parts or somehow blend into another image part. For example, say you had a bit of hair that suddenly cuts off, you could do some brush work that blends into the next picture or to the closest border(s).
Hope that helps, I agree with what AJ said earlier too.
Nice job

Like I said, I considered moving them. I'd have swapped the bottom right and top left. But laziness got the better of me...

Is it my soul?
Is it that glimpse of light? I never forget to expect.
Or is it you? Some kind of angel.
That keeps me in waiting forever?

I've, once again, been working hard. This image is one of the more simplistic ones, but I think it looks ratehr nice. (Anyway, I do these so the people who get them like them )

Hmm, I'm a little puzzled by the text, to be honest: "a pair meant to be..." what, a pair?
It looks very nice, but perhaps the green outline of Joey(??) should be a bit blurrier to make the picture fit in better with the rest.

, you'd get the message if you were (or at least knew) the person who is getting it. (Then again, they all make more sense that way)
I'll blur Joey's (yes, you got it right, Raffles) outline in the next 10 minutes before I wander off to school. And pray this computer doesn't die before I can get it printed off..

Yay, a new one for the start of may! I've been criminally avoiding work for the last week, and now I have a geography essay to finish, I was -meant- to do 2 more of these by tomorrow and have to finish one by the end of the week. Whoops...
Anyway, to the art!
Yeah, t'is another Yugioh one. 2 more on the way soon. Luckily for those who hate anime, I'm doing one with Iron Maiden and some other metal bands. Quite how that will be achieved, however, is yet to be determined...
I actually made this one in 1024x768 rather than 800x600, as I felt 800x600 was too small.. However, resized for you guys (Because not everyone has a screen big enough to see a 1024x768 image without breaking the board format...)
And for Sean's benefit, I did my best at making the resource pics fit.
