ours end at the start of september. we also get 2 weeks of f at xmas and easter. and 3 other weeks off inbetween. and the last bank holiday.

WTF? How can you have such a long summer break, aren't summers short in Iceland, anyway?
DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

Well my summer break goes from April to about first week of September, day after labour day here, I'm so glad to be in college.

After reading this thread I've realised the Australian education system sucks.
I would probably do a lot better in school if we did it like Iceland.

Oh yeah... I go to school - It's actually called: The school of the Holy Trinity (really). It's because that's the name of the village the school is in.
Oh and I go there to work - I teach kids fun stuff like watching horror movies

My School holidays work as follows...
Summer Holidays(6 Weeks) around August time is the biggest but we have 6 weeks of school then 1 week off go back and another 6 and then 2 weeks off + all the religious holidays. Easter,Christmas.Eid(1Day) etc

We have 2 months (a small part of june to start of september), then 1 week during christmas and new year, and one weel at the ned of january, and one and a half week during easter break, there are also some other religious holidays that can take a few days...
But that system is going to change again, who knows what we can expect the next year...
