That made me giggle a little. Where do you all dig up these random Norwegian outbursts?

Reason it made me giggle is that you said "Roof". You were aiming for "Takk", which is "Thanks". Still, that is pretty darn close!

That would be due to the Norwegian students at my college. I'd only heard it spoken, not written, but I didn't think it was "tack", that's Swedish IIRC, and thought that maybe Norway shortened it a bit to "tak".

No worries at all. I know what you mean, my sister's is on the 30th, which is a bit tragic, seeing as most people can't really be bothered with much festivity at this point.

And it's pretty rubbish, tbh - you get presents on Christmas which say "don't open 'til your birthday", which is a bit sad. But oh well. Can't really change my birthday.
