Hello,
I'm Ahmet "CoolBlue-Gord10" Kamil Kelesh. I like to introduce the freeware horror/adventure AGS game I'm working on for about 1 year. (By the way, I'm also the scripter of the Violant Drunken Bums mini game in The Great Stroke Off. http://www.reloaded....lick/Company14/ )
Lost In The Nightmare is a psychological horror game like Silent Hill series. I have used pre-rendered 3D graphics taken from the Half-Life engine.
The main character is Burak Guney, a private investigator who used to work for the police and have a secret, dirty past. You are hired to find three university students who got lost in a forest near the Karabalta Town while camping. They have been lost for 3 months and the police couldn't find any clue what happened to them. You'll stay in Karatas Hotel during your investigate (The story is supported by the cutscenes with cinematical camera pitches).
Also I must admit that I haven't abstained from any violance scenes in the game
I'm thinking of releasing Lost In The Nightmare in July or August 2005.
You can download the demo from here:
http://www.bigbluecu...n=detail&id=473
But it's a very old demo, so I have improved the graphics quite much.
Also you can watch the trailer here:

Update: A major part of the game is finished, and I'm thinking of releasing it in a week. I have also added some action scenes in the game.

I like the fact that you are using the Half-Life engine that has a lot of potential

This looks very, very nice.
I think I saw this on the AGS boards as well. Is that possible? Anyway, thanks a lot for telling us about it. This looks like it's going to be great, so please keep us up to date on any progress.

Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Update:
A major part of the game is finished, and I'm thinking of releasing it in a week. I have also added some action scenes in the game (they are a bit like the action scenes in Silent Hill 2).
For the new screenshots:

And I must say that I'm really looking forward to finish this game, so working hard with ambition.

The new screens look very, VERY nice, and I like the music as well. But I have a couple of questions:
The game will be available in English, right? And when you say that you're thinking about releasing it in about a week, does that mean that it's finished, or that you'll release what you've got so far and keep working on it?
Anyway, it looks very good, I'm looking forward to playing it.

I'm glad you liked them
Yes, the game will be English. It also contains Turkish language support, and I had taken that screenshots from the Turkish version.
I'm thinking of completing the game this week. The game will be released when I complete it fully. So it won't be released before completing.

I thought it would be in English, but I thought I'd ask, just to be sure. So it was Turkish, I was wondering what language that was.
And it's good to hear that you won't release the game untill it's finished. Although I can understand why that would be tempting after working on it for a long time, I think everybody dislikes the growing trend for commercial games to release a half-finished product and then patch it later (assuming that it sells enough copies to justify a patch aka actually finishing the game). It's nice that freeware producers rarely do that, and it's good to hear that you don't.
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.
