I'm having some problems running Family Feud in DOSBox. The highscore list initially just is a lot of gibberish (see screenshot). When I select one of the "names", I end up with an incredibly long gibberish name and the game freezes. If I win and make it into the highscore list, my name looks OK, but the rest is still gibberish. (I've made screenshots of that as well if you need to see them) When I exit the game, the command prompt has the line "insufficient memory". I looked at the comments on the AB-forum, but nobody seems to be having the same problem.
I'm running DOSBox 0.63 ("version 6") in Windows 98. Dosbox.conf is set to CGA mode (also tried VGA mode, but it looks exactly the same), and the only thing unusual about the settings is the "cycles=max" bit which I've still got in there, but that can hardly affect the graphics.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

The screenshot looks indeed a bit odd.
Thank you for the report.

could you attach champs.lst when you are in the highscores ?

futher does it work in the regular win98 prompt correctly ?

The contents on the screen are actually the contents of champs.lst. So either we read the file wrong or the file itself is corrupt.

Sure, here you go. My name shows up correctly, but the others still don't.

I haven't tried that yet, but I will this afternoon.

thank you for the file.
There is something odd going on.
The file you provided is roughly twice the size of the first savegame.
It looks like that somehow the filepointer isn't reset or so.
(you can delete/rename champs.lst) then the game starts without a list)

Right, I'll try that, then, and see what it does. Maybe it's just some sort of overflow??
