The night draws darker and darker as Trevor makes his way to the tavern, a long night of reading and a drink or two is what he needs at this time, his days of traveling the long dark roads are over for him, yet no one but himself knows these secrets, his identity as a ranger is behind him.

He feels his shoulder ache up again, it is burning this injury that pleagues him so from the arrow that struck him nary 2 years to this day, he was hit by an unknown assailant, yet he did not seek help, but kept the injury safe from harm and let it heal on it's own.

With the dark sky he realizes he must hurry as he rushes, straight into someone.

"Watch it you fool." A woman's voice says to him

"My apoligies madam." Trevor helps her up noticing the violet scarf wrapped around her.

"Tell me stranger where are you headed at this hour?" The woman inquires

"Off to get a drink, as I feel I'll be needing it, to read over the many texts at my desk."

"Hmm a scholar you are?" The woman asks again

"Yes that is my job." Trevor says "Ahhhh the aching pain." Trevor says dropping to one knee

"What ails you, an injury of sorts? The woman asks approaching him closer

"Nay madam, it's merely a pulled muscle of sorts." Trevor quickly lies

"Are you sure?" The woman touches his shoulder, as he feels a sense of energy pass through it, his shoulder pain is gone.

"What? How? I feel better." Trevor says getting up "My shoulder pain has disappeared."

"I must go..." The woman says as she, runs off into the night

"Wait!" Trevor tries to get her attention but by the time he can even run she has fled into the night "Hmm there was something about her, my shoulder feels better than before but how?" Trevor thinks to himself what happened, he would have to keep what happened here secret for the time being, till he can find out more about this woman.

"Hmm the smell of wildflowers I believe it is, I remember that smell well from my travels." Trevor nods to himself noting it.

"I must ponder this thought later, I must make haste." Trevor says to himself eventually reaching the tavern and entering the attention to himself is drawn for but a second, a man such as himself stands out. He looks around to see many a person tell a tall tale, he soon approaches the bartender asking for a shot of ale, as he drinks up...

"P-PEOPLE!" Strog yelled inside the crowded room, hoping to draw enough attention.
"p-perhaps we have been too o-over-overhasty in believing that a werewolf is among us" Strog tittered at the word ", however it -it -it is obvious that once a-a-again our fair town is once more besieged by some sort of w-w-wild animal, most like-likely a w-wolf."

Strog licked his thin but honest lips and wiped some sweat off his brow, he wasn't used to so much interaction with others. Usually all he would say to the other villagers was limited to shouting out his current stock, for the rest he managed to get by with nods and smiles.

Whilst some of the younger villagers had little respect for the bumbling man, the somewhat more senior villagers remembered that Strog was technically still their landlord, and that a quarter of their yearly taxes went to the van Daisyfield family.

"As we know" Strog continued, somewhat more confident of himself ", a wolf rarely hunts alone, there is always a pack. I do not wish to scare you b-but, a wolf can be just as dangerous as any w-werewolf. Why just imagine that one day this pack attacks our cattle!"

Some of the farmers grumbled at the thought.

"Just imagine, should all the cattle be lost to w-wild creatures! The e-effects on the town would be catastrophic, er, bad!" Strog continued ", is that not so senior herdsman Gyles?"

A bearded man looked up from his mug of mead and nodded, "aye. The town could survive on grain for, oh, some time. But with nae meat we'd be hard-pressed to survive the winter. We could import meat from Bravostjy down in the valley, but just one heavy night of snowing and the pass down to the city would be closed off"

"And just imagine, should one of the little children got lost in the woods. I see them often hanging around near my farm. I try to warn them that the ice lizards will get them if they don't run back home, but they won't listen" Strog continued.

"It is therefore best that w-we set up a militia to protect ourselves from these wolves," Strog raised his voice "it would be an honour for me, as a van Daisyfield, to continue this tradition of protectining this fair town from external evils. I would be honoured to take charge over this militia and post guards outside of town: near the Freylandt woods, the Borgo pass and up by Wayfarer's Point. This way we will ensure that no harm comes to this village from the outside!"

@Wae: You're allowed to edit your posts, to correct mistakes, but as a rule of thumb, posts containing votes should not be edited, to avoid confusion (although it's permitted if you accidentally voted for yourself :tai:).

@Tom: You should vote in the thread. Remember to use bold for the name of the player you wish to see lynched.
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Someone will die tonight! Hear my words someone is doomed to die...
As I said before, I donīt believe the threat being some kind of wild, rabid animal.
So make a decision far off from silly ideas of protecting the village against the outer village...
Maybe someone else has followed in detail what happened last night...
The marks donīt lie. It definately was a werewolf that caused all this trouble.

"I-I w-would have believed a learned man such as yourself would act more civilized!" exclaimed Strog ", yet you suggest we f-follow some myth and s-s-start randomly k-killing - m-m-murdering - people! We are n-not savages!"

"But... but what exactly are you suggesting my dear friend?", the old man mumbled once again hesitantly, joining the landlord in his plead,

"Because if you are going to the direction i believe you are... I am not entirely sure if I am comfortable with that..., for nothing, nothing has yet happened, none are yet missing from our fair group, surely we have no right... to fix that...", he continued, pausing then & glancing at the dusty floor in front of him, seemingly shaken by the very thought it...

"but... but i do agree... some precautions need to be taken...", he then continued, moving his gaze once again to the aristocrat standing still as noble & proud of his words as ever, nevertheless of the resistance it had gained among the crowd.

"But i am... reluctantly forced to agree... Yes... but whether it be a werewolf... or something... of not of such mystical nature, It is clear that our dear landlord is right, eventhough he due to his simple nature, naivily passes the possibility of the myth... something certainly seems to be pestering us, that would require...", he muttered, then ending the sentence before itīs own time, as if he himself had forgotten what he was to say...

"& the children...", he then continued, shaking the thought of the previous sentence out of his mind, whilst staring the aristocrat in a manner of almost challenging him deeper into the debate...

"Whilstī in their own curiosity could bring their doom upon themselves even without this threat... have to be protected nevertheless, for i know not if the tales that fair Daisyfield tells us are true, but i have no reason to doubt him yet... yet, but if so, it has to be stopped... the children need boundries, atleast during the evenings... & the nights..."

"But of the idea of the militia... i have nothing to say, not for nor against, For i prefer myself rather as a... man of peace, & thus have no voice in such decisions... - But nevertheless... such acts are in your grasp... you are the... the landlord after all...", he uttered with a determined expression on his face, then freezing, and once more directing his sight onto the cold floor in front of him, as if he had ran out of the air to speak properly...
Not worth it...

Believe me: Iīm not keen on reviving these old legends. Nor am I a very dear friend of a random kill...

Definately not. I just believe that the protection you proposed wonīt subserve at all...
Protection is good. Finding the matter of these occurences would be much better.
Iīm not the man who sits something out...but if commonality just wishes exactly that...I will comply.

Again, iīve not really any suspects, yet. So I donīt want to solve our problems by killing someone randomly to getting the werewolf by chance. You can take it from me!

And old weirdo adds conspiratorial:

What about the other villagers? Donīt you have any opinions? No experiences...

He nods his head knowingly and a terrifying grin grows in his face

"N-NOBODY is going to be killed! O-our walls are thick and well-mortared and our weapons are s-sh-sharp" Strog exlaimed fiery ", no c-cr-creature, be they mythical or r-real, can h-harm us as-as-aslong as we stay v-v-vigilant! Mothers, keep your children indoors at night, f-fathers, keep your weapons at h-h-hand! As of tonight I, Strog van Daisyfield, pronounce a curfew! Anyone older than 15 caught outside his or h-her house will be arrested and es-escorted to the town dungeon, pending his j-j-just trial!"

Beads of sweat started running down Strog's brow again. He remember back when he was but a little boy, hearing his father, sir Doran van Daisyfield, speak. Nobody interrupted his father, his father was respected, not mocked by peasants. The Daisyfield name and banner used to be honoured throughout the Borgo pass. His father himself was a hero renowned for his brave deeds throughout the War of Shields. His grandfather became a hero fighting against the Austrian hordes while his uncle became a hero fighting together with the Austrian hordes.
Yet Strog was no hero, he was the shoveler of muck, the shearer of sheep, the milker of cows. Heor to a title none would pronounce him by, landlord to a rabble of ragged farmers, bearded herders, frightened women and old superstitious men. How he loathed every single one of them.

"I-I once again stress the need of a town militia, only so can we safeguard our security! Anyone who opposes this plan, opposes our security; and whomsoever opposes our security, must surely be of ill-intetnions."

The blacksmith, Juni, who's been silently curing his hangover with ale in his own table, raises his head, glances slowly around the room and starts speaking:

"As you well know, before I came back to run my father's smithery, I traveled a lot. In Eastern Steppes, in Holy Roman Empire and Hispanian Peninsula. I even visited the Holy Land. And yes, I heard many tales, including tales of werewolves, but none I saw proven true. All I saw, was murder and sorrow, all made by man in so-called gallant acts of war. I've wounded several times and seen too many wounds, but never seen a victim of a werewolf. So aren't you little hesitant? I don't believe in such creatures before I see one. And then it will meet its end by my sword."

He takes a long sip before continues:

"One thing is sure, we are all here, alive and well. I'm not going to sit up all night worrying. Tavernkeeper, more ale!"

OOC: Actually interesting rule, that we already get to accuse one character of being werewolf, as I see no logical base for it. However, for me: Abstain /OOC

Well, the thing is, the players should be aware that a werewolf is among them now. The reason why you should start voting on this turn, is the same reason why the werewolves didn't get to kill anyone on the first night; it's so that no one gets eliminated before the game actually starts. Everybody gets a chance to vote at least once.

However if you don't want to vote, you don't have to. :tai:
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

The stranger is of course the first to be accused... It never fails... By a stuttering fool at that! The stranger seems to take no note of the accusation but the dog positions himself between the stranger and the fool, bows its head low and growls fiercly at the man.

Surprisingly the bard jumps to the strangers defense. Something the man had not awaited.

The Stranger sits outside the tavern and listens to the conversation(s) inside.

The fool suggests that no real action be taken and that the village set up a militia because he believes that the villagers were to hasty in believeing a werewolf is amongst them. A fool he is indeed...

DakaSha rises... and enters the inn:

"People of the village...", he says in a loud enough voice to get the villagers attention. The inn falls silent and all start to stare at the man cloaked in green. "Please hear me out. My name is DakaSha. I am an aspiring druid and I was called to this village due to the unnatural occurences that have befallen you. The footprint outside the door is definetly not of natural origin. I have studied the plants and animals of these lands for over 8 years now and a natural animal of such size does not exist. It is as I think most of you suspect indeed a werewolfs print... And he is surly not alone."

The people of the village listen to what DakaSha has to say... all the while the dog stays close to his master and keeps a very sharp eye on  the fool.

"I am by no means a man of violence but this problem must be solved... and sadly it can only be solved with blood. A militia will help us none. Time is working against us and we must get rid of these... beings... as soon as possible. I understand your unwillingness to lynch a human you have probably known for your whole life but at night this human turns into a beast that will rip your throat out for pure pleasure... think about it..."

The villagers look around at eachother.... many realizing that what the man says is true.

He adds while looking deep into strogs eyes: "I would also like to add that a such passive way of dealing with the problem is quite suspicious"

Daniel had spent the whole day observing the events from a distance. Along with his dog, he had been sitting on a hill facing the inn. He found the amount of panic within the village marginally amusing.

He had suspected werewolves to be within the town for a while, but hadn't ever been able to prove it. So, as usual, he had stayed silent on the matter. And just about any other matter, to be honest.

"Who do you think it is?" He asked his hound, staring across the valley. The dog sat silently for a few moments, then let out a long breath. Daniel guessed this meant his hound had no opinion on the matter.

That wasn't such a bad thing, seeing as the only evidence the villagers had found was a set of pawprints.

After sitting and watching for a few hours, he had gone to find some food. Having had that and hunted for a few hours, he came back. The sun was starting to set, and the villagers were still running around like ants whose nest was disturbed.

Finally, Daniel decided to walk down to the inn with his dog.

The streets were nearly deserted. Eiether everyone was hiding, or something was going on in the inn. There was certainly enough noise coming from in there.

He walked into the inn with his hound at his side. A few people looked at him until he sat down. His dog sat next to him. Both were observing the events around them.

The idiot, Strog, was rambling on about cattle and a militia. Blacksmith Juni was telling the people of werewolves, and the lack of them elsewhere.  Wae was stalling, agreeing about werewolves, and using the word 'but' in nearly every sentence. Trevor seemed to be one of the few villagers who wasn't going on and on.

And that goddamn bard would just not shut up...

My vote: None
But I am leaning towards someone...

Juni, somewhat drunken already, raises his head again and shouts:

"Well, Dakasha, we've never had these problems before and now all of the sudden we have strange footprint and a stranger who claims to know something about this footprint! Now isn't that suspicious? And, as you say, we should lynch one of our own, but seem to forget some are not our own! Would you volunteer to be lynched? I don't think so, so watch your wards!"

He partially cools down and continues drinking.

Edit: OOC: Danny made it between me and DakaSha, so I pointed out whom to I was talking. /OOC
