Ah one more snes rpg should mention Tales Of Phantasia, real time rpg battling, it had random battles, but it was all real time and the thing you could aim your attacks, like high or low attacks, think the gba edition came out just recently or will in next while with this gem.

Don't think you'll find it, that game was japan only for the longest time, think may have gotten released on ps1, but yeah just checked it's on gba right now.

Your loss. But for people who have a gba or a DS is a great game to check out, also have heard good things about Tales Of Symphonia another game in the series that's really sweet for the gamecube.

It is pretty good, but the games have these atrocious voice overs in battle that keep repeating over and over and over and over and over and over........
I turned off the sound items.

A double-headed RPG-7...
Oh... right...
Urmm probably Fallout 2, then. That's a brilliant game, and quite a lot better than the first.
It's plot-tabulous!
Eugh... none of the single-player charm of the Baldur's Gate series, and to make it fun you have to team up online with people, 90% of whom are real D&Ders who criticise your every move because "it wasn't in character" or whatever.
Eugh...

I thought Neverwinter Nights repetive as hell. Certainly not out-of-the-box goodness.
All-time favorite RPG will have to be Morrowind for me. It has all the charm and it has all the possibilities to be actual role playing.
If I had to choose a 'real' RPG (as in: without the Action part), I'd have to choose the Baldur's Gate series.

Now why does everyone have to criticize his choice? Neverwinter Nights was fun the instant I got it, the multiplayer is incredible. You might just have a different view on multiplayer than his, the difficulty and the learning curve online is worth going through.
