The game Genesia (added to AB just a few days ago) has a bit of a DosBox-crashing problem now and then. It completely goes blank, and when in full-screen, you can't go back to Windows, but have to completely reboot. In windowed mode, you can still close DosBox and restart that. We're not sure what makes this happen, as it seems to happen at random. More info on it can be found here, at the end of page 1 and the beginning of page 2.

It's a bit off-topic, but since this game has been mentioned, and Tiki's an updater on AB, I thought I'd point it out - this game is not only ESA protected, but also still sold as part of a combo pack of games, as can be seen on the oldwarez list.

There've been games put up there that were dismissed as being sold, as it was only in combo-packs, like Worlds Of Xeen. Putting one game up while it's still sold in combo-packs while not another one because it's sold in a combo-pack... either all or none, I'd say, and as others've gotten green light, then why not this one? Anyways, 's off-topic. First things first: getting it to work properly.

Regardless of whether collections count, it's ESA protected.

Waht in the heck does this have to do with the topic.  This topic is about problems with genesia not about whether or not its esa protected. if you don't want it here and don't want to put it on the site, take it up either in a proper place on the forum or with the updater. Geez, the off topic things I'm finding on these forums.

Back to topic.  :bleh:

Yes, Faw, I believe that the actual moderators are able to handle their job here without assistance. Though I appreciate your wariness, these posts cause more distraction than, and are just as off-topic as the actual offense.

I apologize for my own part, as I simply wanted to point the matter out without throwing a bomb into the Comments/Suggestions forum on AB, and felt this would be a far more tactful approach.

Qbix, feel free to unlock this topic when you need it. Until then, I think we've all done enough damage :bleh:

Well, the game has been removed from AB, the proper BUY link has been applied, Qbix is working on the problems with the game.

So, AB is not breaking any laws, the producers earn their well-deserved money, and we are all getting an improved DOSBox version.

Seems like a very good topic to me, in which everybody comes out stronger. Apart from Qbix, who will have to look over lines of codings and do debugging :D

So, yes, it was off-topic, but it made sure that everything was fixed.

Edit:
Whoah. Freaky... Tai and myself must be in the Twillight Zone :bleh:
