I have Windows XP, and I am trying to use Dos Box - 0.63. When I mount the directory and enter the game, Dos Box quits after about 10 seconds of the game... On some games it doesn't even wont to enter. Would it help if you use Windows 98. . . plz help  :)

The name of the game would certainly be of help as I 've got a game and it works longer 10 seconds.

Got a few other games as well which start up perfectly

XP or 98 doesn't matter

The game is Adventures of Robin Hood. I think there is a diference between Win 98 and XP. All the games I've played on Win 98 worked perfectly, exept maybe some problems with the sound, but it was fixable. Now, that I have Windows XP, ALL of those games don't even wont to start. . .

That is odd.
You are certain you are running them inside DOSBox ?

as what you describe is the effect that happends when you run games directly in XP.

The game Adventures of Robin Hood is not listed in our compatibility database. So I don't know wether it should work at all.
Could it be you used a different (older) version of DOSBox when you used Windows 98 ?

Slightly off-topic, but is DOSBox supposed to work in Windows 98 at all?:) I never could get it to work on my laptop. But then again, Windows 98 has a DOS mode, so it's not that much of a problem...

yes. DOSBox is supposed to run on Win98
In fact it gets tested there before every release.

If it doesn't work it's usually a a video card/drivers problem. Nothing to do with DOSBox in the first place.

It's quite often used in Win98 for it's speed control. as slowdown utilities don't work that well.
