Well this is my first GIMP project... actually the first "anything that has to do with me being artistic" project.

I'll be doing more while learning how to use the program.
Youll be seeing alot of light in my stuff.. i love using it
What i like about this sig the most is the way the coloring is done + the peacock itself... Its a real picture but now it looks almost fake... i like it like that. I blured the peacocks back feathers and it kinda gives it more of a 3D feeling.  just learning while doing.

what i dont like are 3 imperfections:

1. the peacocks feathers arnt blured perfect on the left side.
2. something isnt right with the text... prob the color.
3. the fuzzy border isnt all that great but i like it better with than without.

oh... anybody know how to get rif of that white blotch at the bottem? seems like a bug

Really good for just starting out  

Try adding an effect to the text layer, such as a stroke, or outer glow... it'll make it pop out more.

Edit: As for the blotch, I would use a smudge and do it pixel by pixel.

Cant get rid of it... thats the thing... no matter what i do it just acts like there is nothing there

Is something preserving transparency or something when you're trying ot put something on top?

its just a spot on any layer that cannot be drawn over... you cant put a picture over it either... dont know... dint do it on that last sig i did so i guess it was just bad luck on this one

But errr... Is there supposed to be a black spek on the right side? Or is that just me?

Not sure about the blotch and the black speck - if GIMP's anything like PS I'd just flatten all the layers and pixel them out with the eyedropper to get the right colours from the pixels nearby, making sure not to save over the version with the layers in.

Ok next one is finished.... i think. if i can think of a way to make the "waterfall" look more like one and a way to put a rainbow in without it looking cluttred i will... but its good for now i think.

oh and the shadow of the "waterfall" is wrong because the sun is on the other side but Conjurors of Being arnt distracted by such minor things

That's rather impressive... how many images did you cut out for that? And how many layers does it use?

My advice, to clear it up a bit, would be to remove the seagull.. it's cute, but it interferes with the overall impression, I think.

Also, add some sort of effects to the text layers to pop them out more. Outer glow is my best buddy, but there are other ways. Try experimenting with the color of the text and some effects til you think it can't get any better.

But all in all, I'm really impressed
