What are some of your favorite feature films of all time? Why are they your favorites?

Its probably pretty clear that I'm a huge Sci-fi/Fantasy fan by now so obviously most of my favorite movies come from that genre. Some of my favorite movies include:

1. Original Star Wars Trilogy (Ep.4-6)
2. Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc
3. Godfather 1 and 2
4. Star Trek 2 and 6 (Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country)
5. Fight Club

Lets see some of your favs  :)

1. Full Metal Jacket

Others I can't think of ATM but I think Dr.Strabgelove and Fight Club would get onto the list...

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

Original Star Wars Triology definitely, Lord of the Rings Triology, classic, Sin city recent but still the way it all played out, just so good. Goldeneye I don't know why but just this Bond film seems to be such a good one to watch that I never get tired of.

I've seen gazilions of movies on TV.

I can think of:
Godfather series (1st was best),
Predator series (man, did they rock ehh...downloading at the moment...),
Rambo series,
Rocky series (Stallone is a great writer),
Doom,
2001: A Space Odyssey...
+ a bigilion more.
Is it my soul?
Is it that glimpse of light? I never forget to expect.
Or is it you? Some kind of angel.
That keeps me in waiting forever?

Haven't we had one of these already? Oh well, I guess it's alright to have a top movies thread once in a while. :)

1) Fearless Vampire Killers
2) The Thing
3) Where Eagles Dare
4) Escape From New York
5) The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
A Nightmare Before Christmas
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (although it was frustrating, as I saw there was more in the movie than met the eye, but couldn't figure it out)

Got to put Shrek down for me, thought that was a great movie the sequel though they did not so much. First one was classic.

The Incredibles! Man, I love that film. Saw it a couple of times in the cinema when it came out and spent the second time marvelling at the hair and clothing effects.
