The Lexx was much better than The Tribe, that sucked - at least The Lexx had the sense to embrace its awfulness! I'd forgotten about that show until now - thanks for reminding me of those creepy flying arm things. And that one where the robot head whose name I can't remember gets a body - that was quite unpleasant. And the way the only person who ever got their kit off was Stanley. Grrr.

Lexx, now that was one weird *** show. The fire/water planet arc (season 3 I believe) was kinda cool but for the most part the show was uneven and ultimately uninteresting.

I'm gonna have to agree with Beef on Futurama. It's better than Simpsons ever was, IMO. Every time I rewatch an episode, I find something new to laugh at.

I'm also gonna have to agree with AJ on the Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister. Great show. :)

Hmmmm...  not a lot missing here.  Though I would add Carnivale, The Adventures of Brisco County Junior, Samurai Champloo, Berserk and Deadwood.

What about mini series? Are they allowed too? In that case I have to addTwin Peaks, Band of Brothers and Shogun. :)

Band of Brothers? Not for realism that's for sure. Certainly Easy-company was bloody lucky, if even the main storyline is close to truth, but the series was just so poorly made. Like veteran german scharfschutze (sniper) high on stairs outside that bloody building in one of the early episodes. Just to mention one.

Watched the Futurama episode Where No Fan Has Gone Before (star trek spoof) last night on DVD and was reminded just how great this show is. I'm gonna head back and revisit some earlier seasons once I get some time off.

Really such an underrated show, Futurama is such a classic that you can really get into, every time I watch an old episode it's always so good to remember the times when it was on the air.

When did Futurama get cancelled anyway? I heard it got cancelled in 2002 but I kept seeing new episodes on tv for a year or so afterwards. :)

Well, I believe it started in 1999, and since it ran for five seasons, I would say it got cancelled in 2004. I might be wrong, though.

I think it was 2003 actually it got canned, I remember seeing the finale that year I would say, although 2004 is a good bet too.

Well, if it ran for five seasons, then yes, 2003.

1st: 1999
2nd: 2000
3rd: 2001
4th: 2002
5th: 2003

Pure mathematics. Or am I mistaken? :)

Yup. It got cancelled before they'd aired all the episodes though, which is why you got to see some afterward - in fact most of season 4 (the last production season was 4, Fox just aired it as 2 seasons in the US for some reason) was made after they knew they'd been canned, hence the last episode not just being any old random show.
