You have to make sure, when you want to drink various different drinks, you start with the one with the lowest alcohol percentage and work your way up. So after a beer, drink a whiskey and not the other way around.
The other way around gives you hell the next morning (not a joke)

But Sabot has a good point. It's frigging expensive to get wasted, even though the alcohol taxes were reduced last spring...

We even have one of those cutsie rhymes:
Beer before liquor, never been sicker;
Liquor then beer, and everything's clear.
I'm pretty sure I've tested that theory and found it to be quite true...

QUOTE (Tai - in response to DD on how people who fear change are like cats)
you mean the "you moved my litterbox, so I'm going to pee in your clothes hamper" attitude?
Yes, I just quoted myself. ph34r my T4i-F00!!. doodoodoo!!!

Yeah I can atest to that theory being true as well, least from my memories of some drinking experiences it held true, have definitely seen the first case a few times with some older friends of mine getting sick after going from liquor to beer.

Our rhyme is ''bier na wijn geeft venijn'' which means beer after whine gives you hell and ''wijn na bier geeft plezier'', which means: wine after beer means pleasure.
Edit: Just saw on Wikipedia that the English have a reversed Rhyme like you Tai. So I guess we can wipe that theory out
It also says the verse is a reflection of middle age feudalism. Beer (poor) and Wine (rich)
So drinking Beer after wine would be bad, other way around would be good.
What a informative day it is.
