And my elf name (which I already knew) is Findar�to Narmolanya. Nár means fire, but the rest is unclear to me. Though an could mean long. Oh, and my real names "elf name" is actually pretty cool.

Of course not. It's just based on the first letter and the overall number of letters. But you could probably find out people's initials through a lot of trial and error.

not really, no. it maps several [dozen] combinations to each hobbit name.
