Ok, my turn again.

This game is a remake of an old C64 game that was later released on the Amiga. It never reached the PC as a commercial game (only as freeware).
The plot of this masterpiece goes as follows: the droid crew of a galactic space freighter has turned against their masters. A droid "Influence Device" has been beamed aboard to help you regain control of the situation.

There is as far as I know at least two remakes of this game and giving any of them as the answer will be enough.


Hint 1: Your goal is to clear all droids from each of the space freighter's 20 decks.

Hint 2: You have the ability to take over enemy droids and gain their abilities.

Hint 3: The final version of the remake came in August 2003 and contains the graphics style of both the C64 version and the Amiga version.

Correct, FreeDroid it is. The other remakes I know of are SDL Paradroid and the OpenGL version Paradroidz.

Ok, this game is based on a real classic from 1995. The game spawned several add ons and sequels (and now clones).

Hint 1: The player controls a team.

Hint 2: There are lots of different weapons to shoot or blow up you opponents with.

Hint 3: In this "remake/clone" you're not limited to one species like in the original.
