I heard of it while it was in beta, but I didn't feel the need to update it, until now that is... (auto update thing doesn't seem to work for me)

EDIT: Well that solved the problem :bleh:

Yes I would think it would be wise to do that AJ.  :bleh: 1.5 has got a bunch of new features and security fixes etc all that, an actual upgrade to firefox.

Done. OK, while I'm at it I might as well install in on my laptop as well. Opera 7 is also a tad outdated, I suppose... :bleh:

Well, it would be so much easier if that automatic Firefox update feature actually worked...

Yeah that's true, in the older versions of Firefox the 1.0X series that was an issue that never did get fixed AJ I read in some of the forum posts at the mozilla site, but in the 1.5 Series it has been fixed so to allow for downloading of security fixes and whatnot from the browser and not have to redownload the entire browser package like before. :bleh:

Glad to know that someone else has trouble with the Firefox updater.  It hasn't worked for me since day one.  On my machine, the icon appears telling me that I need to update, and when I click on it, a dialog box appears saying that updates are being downloaded...but they're not.  Nothing happens afer that.
Today is a good day for pie.

The updater actually worked once for me. :bleh: But most of the time the mozilla team never did put the new versions of their browser on their server that linked to the updater in the browser hence why it never worked, now apparently with version 1.5 that has changed, guess we'll see once the next version comes out and or security fixes are released.

Can't you just head to macromedia's website and download the flash for firefox as an offline installer? That's how I installed my flash on it well v 7.0 at least.
