My top 5:

Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale
Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence
Pink Floyd - Green is the Colour
Pink Floyd - Time
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

Although this list would probably change on weekly basis :)

DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them
DakaSha:and you have a class of little kids hitting eachother with rubber dongs which must be quite funny (also Picklweasel knight I am)

Actually, nowadays as I even try to think of this I must say that following five are the best:
Amorphis - whole production
Nightwish - whole production
Jean Sibelius - Finlandia
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name
G'n'R - Estranged

Ask me next week and I'll change at least one part of it (won't be "A" or "NW" :P)

Wells my list of 5 top songs have certainly changed, not by a lot, but there are a few titles from my original that are going to get dropped.

Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons
Iron Maiden - Revelations
Devin Townsend - Canada
Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes/The Creator Has A Master Tape
Dream Theater - In the Presence of Enemies Part 1 and 2 (Its split into two songs on their latest album, but the band plays both parts back to back in their concerts nowadays)

I'll drop mine for kicks.

National Treasure Soundtrack- The Chase (Dang, I love that song)
Pain of Salvation- Her Voices
Oasis- F-ing in the Bushes
The Protomen- Sons of Fate
Monc- Song 4 Human

Other mentions:

-Metal Gear Solid theme (the third game's remix)
-Nightwish- Ghost Love Score
-Lo Fidelity Allstars- "Warming up the Brain Farm" and "Battle Flag"
-Sunscreem- Exodus
I have been informed that today is, in fact, opposite day, and what you've written there is absolutely true so you should probably just go.
Rabbleous rabblerousers. Christ on a bike. Quite naturally people took you for a lunatic. Your only salvation now is complete rest.

Since "all time top 5" is about as impossible as can be, I'd rather post the recent top 5. Afterall, it all depends on what I need/want at any given moment. So:

Cornelis Vreeswijk - Bellman's "Epistel No. 81" aka "Mrk Hur Vr Skugga", the most beautiful funeral song ever written, or thereabout

Tom Waits - Heart Of Saturday Night

Hedningarna - Min Skog

The Ronettes - Loco-Motion

Motorhead - No Voices In The Sky

and loads of others...
I met a goldfish who remembered meeting me before, but I had forgotten about that.

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs (it's purest genius)

Pendulum - Blood Sugar (blows you away into a different world)

DJ Shadow - Midnight in a Perfect World (extremely well-produced song I never get tired of hearing)

Portishead - Strangers (the finest of trip-hop, combines superb vocals with a stunning backing track)

Placebo - Without You (the song I'd want the world to end on)

I need definitely to redo my five here:

1) Nightwish - Ghost Love Score
2) Amorphis - First Doom
3) Poets of the Fall - Late Goodbye
4) Nightwish - Pharaoh Sails to Orion
5) Stratovarius - Destiny

With heavy hearts I had to drop out Finlandia, no matter how excellent piece it is.
