Yeah the "Sectret of Mana" soundtrack kicked it :P i have it on cd but dont listen to it because it gets me all depressed :P

too many good soundtracks to list them all but hey! you cant deny that the "Super Mario Brothers" soundtrack was outstanding. look how many times (good) remixes/songs have been made out of those.

when i was a kid i "rapped" (if you want to call it that :P ) to the tunes of 1-2 :P

edit: actually DJ-Clue made a damn fine example of the 1-2 tune.. the lyrics of the rappers (which includes 50-cent before he got famous if you believe whoever i heard it from) suck.. but the beat is really friggen good

All hail the soundtrack of Vice City!!! :P

There's no doubt about it, it's the greatest soundtrack any game ever had. I really liked the music from The Pandora Directive too, though, especially the last song that plays while the credits are running. It's called Tex's lament, by Richie Havens. Ah, those were the days...

*goes to play the Tex Murphy games again*
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

I'm more amazed that they were able to get so much licensed music from all the music labels, now that's impressive, good job pr department. :P But seriously when you got peace sells by megadeth it just fits the game perfectly. :P

There's nothing like getting in the underworld of Super Mario's 1-2. Two koopas at start, squash, go for the ceiling and warp yourself to 4-1.

I also liked many of Sega's Sonic music when you fight doctor Robotnik. Or Eggman, how they call this guy these days..

But the BEST soundtrack for GAME is original music for Alien Trilogy.

After Turrican, normally.

Sonic had some good sound tracks, but definitely not the best imo, memorable still but not the best imo.

Ah tetris actually that was a catchy tune, I'd like to nominate need for speed II special edition, simpistic tracks but still they fit with the racing spirit.

I've always kinda liked the music that was chosen for SimCity 3000, it really fit in with the style I thought.

I remember laughing my socks off each time I would play the original Clayfighter. There was some speech there. At very start you would hear this really lousy music, which would tend to stop after a while, but with only one flute's continued playing. You would hear the dirigent's stick and you'd hear "Shut up!" "Oh, sorry!"

That was back in years voice-acting was something new and rare. Today  we can't stop computer talking.
