You should definitely get into APC; their second album has plenty of agressive vox, more so than the first one - Lullaby is amazing. The rEMIXES cd is good too, and some of the covers are cool.
We should probably mention Tool's videos too - I'm lucky enough to own the video collection on DVD, and it's pretty damn awesome.

Have to give a mention to James LaBrie's from Dream Theatre, really melotic sound he puts out, but since he's singing progressive he does put out a very good sound.

I'm gonna check out James Labrie's solo album in the next little while. Been reading reviews on amazon.com. Sounds very promising.

Same I've been checking out reviews as well, maybe with some luck can find it at A&B sound over here, maybe but will definitely try to get it too if I can.

Was listening to Opeth - Blackwater Park earlier tonight and I gotta say Mikael Akerfeldt gives a stunning vocal performance. Far and away the best extreme metal vocal performance I've ever heard.

Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed and Chuck Schuldiner from Death, the best death metal vocal..

Cedric whatsisname? Groovy voice - the second Mars Volta album was a bit too inaccessible, though. First one's amazing. Have you heard any At The Drive-In? It was Cedric and Omar's previous band, bit more punky than the Mars Volta and really good.

No I only know one person with an album of theirs and he refuses to lend it to me cause he will know I'll copy it. He's against piracy. And I couldn't find anything to download by them yet.
And I haven't heard Mars Volta's second album so I'm only basing my opinion on their first and it's bloody brilliant.

After listening to some more Sonata and Nevermore gotta add Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica), Warrel Dane (Nevermore). Tony has got a good range of style for Sonata and Warrel for Nevermore has got a good deep sound and the metal sound, down pat.
