There was an old game for the PC, around Windows 98 - 2000 time. It was a top-down (bird's eye view) RPG. You were a man (descriptive, eh?), set out to find some ring... or something. You could use powers like clairavoiyance to see the map ahead of you, and use spells like bolt and fire to kill enemies. You could equip armor and rings and such. You could go back to the village, and I believe your father was dead or something. (It was a loooong time ago, I don't remember a lot of it  :sneaky: ) Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Wow good shot AJ. Win98-2000, dead father and everything else made me think of Baldur's Gate. You guessed right even though this game seems to be for DOS and Win3.1 and not Win98-2000. :sneaky:

Well, it was Win98-2000 time, so not necessarily win-based game! :P Anyways, excellent marksmanship, lady Raffles! :sneaky:

Thanks.:sneaky: It was the combination of spells that made me think of Castle of the Winds.

Yeah, it was made for DOS and Windows 3.1, but when I played it, it was Win98 - 2000 time. Sorry for the confusion :sneaky:

Quite a fun game, isn't it? Simplistic but fun.

By the way, isn't it freeware?

Excellent.:sneaky:
Taking screenshots might be a bit tricky, though; I remember trying it once with pretty pathetic results...

Poor Zer0, getting hit up for work all over the place... I've already bludgeoned him into taking on a special project :sneaky:

Take your time with it, and thanks for offering the help, Zer0.
