Hank? Who's Hank?
Oh, so you didn't know where the song was from originally? It's from The Man Who Knew Too Much. There is a scene in the film in which Jo (Doris Day) sings this song while dressing up for a dinner, and her little son Hank starts to sing along... Well, never mind. The film's not half bad, though - despite all that singing.

Well... I've decided to share a nice (<-- sarcasm) Norwegian song with you all.

This is the actual song by Ole Paus:
I en sofa fra IKEA
(At the bottom of the post, you'll find my version)

Just a little note that must be said. The song is meant as a funny review of the movies created by the Norwegian film-makers Vam & Vennerød. They always made dark movies with almost identical plot-lines. So the song could be any movie made by them ;)

The lyrics:

at hans kone driver hor

Translation:
(I know... it sucks... ;) )
In a sofa from IKEA sits dad and beats mom.
It is TV-night and mom has spilt some beer on the table.
So now dad is cursing and beating mom and uses foul language.

In a sofa from IKEA sits mom and tugs the hair of dad.
In huge balls mom is tearing out all the hair that he has.
Thus dad go to learn karate, and mom goes to a bar.

In a sofa from IKEA sits dad and beats mom.
Dad gets strong when dad gets mad and
dad gets mad when he thinks
that his wife is having sex
with her boss inside his office.

In a sofa from IKEA sits mom and claws up dad.
And then they scream and tears off those clothes they have.
And then they do the thing that makes mom become mom and dad become dad.

In a sofa from IKEA lies mom and mom is dead.
So the kids are sent away and dad goes to jail.
This was today's sunshine story, greetings Vam & Vennerød.

Now then...
Here's my attempt at the song :)
(Unfortunately, I can't record anything over 1 minute, so the last verse isn't in my version.)

Hey, I remember that song! :) Not bad. The only thing that's missing is the guitar...

Edit: You wouldn't be able to do Påsketur by Øystein Sunde by any chance? That one had our entire class baffled (including our teacher, actually). It's just so damn fast.
