Im using DOSbox-0.63 running on
Windows Xp pro Sp2

This is really strange. I mount C in dosbox then i open the directionary that Laser light is in then i press any key and i get like a pink flass in and over i upperhalf of the Dosbox window.

CONFIG: Loading setting from config file dosbox.conf
MIDI: Opened device: Win32
SHELL: Redirect output to

And then nothing more, well i think that there should somthing be
behind the     Redirect output to     that is not there.

Hi and welcome.

Could you post the exact command you type in dosbox ?

and could you describe what directonary is ?

The Line SHELL: redirect output to. Suggests you are probably starting the game using a batchfile.

Thanks in advance,
bix

Hi hi! :)

I downloaded the game.
Then i i took laserlt out of Laser light folder to make it shorter for me to type.
I changed the name to L. I puted the L folder in the C drive.

This is my command line in dosbox;

Z:\> mount c c:\

Z:\> c:

C:\>L\LL
---------------------------------------------------
Laserlight - Version 1.11r Registered version
This version of laser light is not a sherewere

MS Compatible mouse detect and reset...

For a list of Laser Light command line options type LL \? At the DOS Prompt

Press any key to begin...

(Press some key)

BOOm Red and White flashes and the upperhalf of the dosbox window 1 time and quick.

i get

C:\>

PlEase Help!

This may be an utterly stupid question, but have you tried changing the directory first?
(i.e. by typing "CD L" and then "LL")

A.J Raffles is correct.
When I type your commands the same thing happends at my place

however if I type
mount c c:\
c:
cd l
ll
the it works fine

Btw mount c c:\ is NOT recommended.
Try placing all your games inside c:\dosgames
and mount c c:\dosgames

The reason why mount c c:\ is not recommended is because if you write del *.* - then your entire harddrive is wiped out. :(

DOSBox has full control over your harddrive. Mess something up in c:\ and you may have a disfunctional (or dead) computer.

Exactly my thoughts AJ... And btw, del *.* doesn't wipe your HD, it just deletes everything in that directory/root. Deltree would delete and remove all folders in that directory/root. Only format c: would delete everything. So - as I never failed when using Dos - I don't see any problem there, but possibly you just can't be too careful. But most careful thing to do would be never to turn computer on... :(

Yeps.
It's not restricted to you typing del *.*
Perharps you have a game with a virus.
or DOSBox messes up and decides to erase your c:\  :(
