I just got a DS Lite (Woot for me!) and I'm playing through some of my older games to see them on the bright screen...then I got to Pokemon FireRed and Emerald. Three hours and fifteen Poke Balls later, I'm deep into the second gym leader, finding that he was a little tougher than I remembered (though not much, those games are too easy).

While I don't quite have to budget to play Pearl and Diamond, I've heard good things. :P If only there was an equivalent on the PC. I haven't played any of those games in a long while, so it's a nice nostalgia spank.
I have been informed that today is, in fact, opposite day, and what you've written there is absolutely true so you should probably just go.
Rabbleous rabblerousers. Christ on a bike. Quite naturally people took you for a lunatic. Your only salvation now is complete rest.

I was addicted to Pokemon Red/Blue when they first came out, played them for years. I lost interest in Pokemon when the people around me stopped playing and I had no one to trade or discuss it with.

But I will be picking up Diamond/Pearl when it comes out.
Online play makes not having people around locally to play with a moot point, woo.
Currently playing
Mercs 2 (360), Spore (PC)

Well, I'm sure Giga mean't well. :(

And for the record, I also "was" a Pokemon addict. I've grown-up from it, but I still LOVE the graphics style and even the music of Pokemon Ruby.

I have been playong the pokemon games since red, blue and yellow. I am undeniably addicted to their somewhat crapy graphics, nearly identical story line and game play and overall simplicity. Do not think that I am bashing the games, this is not the case. For you see I have poured more hours into pokemon games than I have schoolwork, jobs and social life combined. Every time there is a new release I try and keep my self from buying 1 or all of the games but it always ends in failure. my question is why are they so addicting?

Pokemon is like a drug. An embarrassing drug you don't tell your friends about. :P

There is no age limit for Pokemon. Despite what bullies and jerks will tell you.  :) I'm 19, and still think about Pokemon Ruby.
