Well, it is a requirement so it should be added.

Who know, some people may not have 640k RAM and heck, you know what Bill Gates said back in '81 "Nobody will ever need more than 640k RAM!".

How is the ingame text corrupted? (Note, best to take screenshots in DOSBox, tends to not show up otherwise)

"As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster." And now I can in this incredibly fun game. Crime Fighter is a turn-based action/strategy/puzzle game using your reflexes and your brain.
And this is in RPG section?

Hmm, I suppose you could say it is an RPG being that you take the persona of one individual person and that you fight enemies and instead of gaining experience you gain money and fame (the former which can be converted to increasing stats). To be honest the game takes quite a bit from a few genres which I suppose makes it more RPG-like in the sameway that in many RPG's you can have mini-games offering many types of gameplay.

Just found out, this games is freeware and on reloaded.

Play it!

It was the only game I ever actually bought. Of course, the graphics aren't comparable with today's (or yesterday's) RPGs, but the Idea of the game is really unique.

In Germany, it had been banned ("indiziert") for a year or so for it's "society endangering" actions. That made it even more attractive.

And to conclude my praises, it's much like Worms the perfect play for you and your nerd pals to play through the night.  :P

Oh I just remembered, when CF 1.5 came out and there were hand grenades to throw at the hostile gang / Rock Band / Prime Minister, it was one of the best days of my childhood. sad, i know....  :tai:

And who needs a DirectX Version anyway.  ;)
