It would be better though if it was allso from the game and not only from the screenshot.

That is a very good point. :)

It sounds pretty good. I don't have too much free time at the moment, so I won't be checking out the actual game for about month. Judging from the screenshot, though, I gotta say the graphics could be better (don't let that get you down, it could also be a lot worse, and it's not really that bad for a homemade game).

I'm a bit excited about the fact that it's a talkie. Did you do all the voices yourself, or did you get help with that? And more importantly, are they well done (maybe that's a stupid question to ask the guy who made the game :))?

Anyway, I think I'll be trying it out in about a month. Sorry I couldn't give you any constructive criticism.
Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Where else can I improve the graphics?
Or is the graphics just not your taste?

Should I make it 3D with extra high resolution?  ;)  :)  ;)
All I'll need is about $500,000.     Anyone?

I did all the voices and everything else by myself.
I didn't have any background in programing so I got alot of technical help from the AGS Technical Forums.

No, please don't make them 3D. :)

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to put down your work. I guess the graphics aren't to my taste, although as I said it's not bad for a homemade game.

Sorry if I offended you, that wasn't my purpose. I am looking forward to trying it out, though.

I'm impressed. It's a one man job and your future games will be even better. Keep on improving yourself like this and you'll get far.  :)

Glad to hear that. I just checked out the thread on the AGS forum. It seems like a lot of people really liked this game. Will it be hosted on reloaded?

How do I get it hosted on reload?

Well, the filesize might be a bit big (I'll have to check that out actually) but if anyone wants to write a review, gather some information, screenshots etc if they ask Kosta we might consider it.

Giving the game a download now ;) From what I can see, I too agree the graphics could use a little cleaning up to make them smoother and make everything seem less...pointy.  I'll see if they are better in the game though than in the one screen shot there ;)

Can see you put a ton of work into it and as someone said, it will only get easier and better as you work more on it  ;)

Does Reloaded submit user-written reviews if I were to give it a shot and it was good? :)

yup. there's instructions in a sticky somewhere - you need permission from Kosta for it, and the review quality standards required are higher than on abandonia though.

I downloaded the game yesterday, and it looks fine. The only thing that's really bugging me is the high squeaky voice. But that's just me; I happen to have an aversion to high squeaky voices in general. :)

It would have been nice to have more detailed descriptions of items when you look at them (not just "a rock", "a cat", "a mirror" or - worst of all "I don't know what to do with it"), but that's a very minor point, actually. There are lots of adventure games which have hardly any descriptions.

Overall, I'd say it's great for a first effort, YotamElal. ;) (Although I'll probably be playing it without sound to avoid the squeaky voice.)

1.
If you choose to play with speech then you should know:
There is an option in the options menu in the game that turns off "I don't know what to do with it".

2.
When you look at an inventory item Silly will tell you more when there is more you should know.
I wrote description when they were needed or when they were especially cool.

3.
Very important!
Do not play without sound just becuase you don't want speech.
If you run winsetup.exe you can disable the speech.
Or if you want you can delete speech.vox
That way you can still here the music.

Heh, I was wondering what the "dono-off" option was supposed to be for. :)
