That's an odd-looking mortarboard you've got there.:D
But why are you wearing a gown and mortarboard for graduating from school? I always thought that sort of thing was reserved for universities.

Actually for when I graduated high school I had to wear the same thing, just in blue. But yeah guess it's not just reserved for universities.

http://www.last.fm/user/DeathDude/Upcoming Concerts will be attending, 5/10/08: Dream Theater, 5/12/08: Gigantour, 5/16/08: Nightwish, 5/27/08: Rush, 6/5/08 and 6/6/08: Iron Maiden, 7/27/08: Judas Priest,

Weird. We're not even allowed to wear our mortarboards until we've got our BA. There's even a fine on it, if you're caught by one of the proctors - although the risk of that is admittedly low. :D

Nope, Universities only over here...

But our 6th formers declared 2nd christmas when they left, blasted the school buses with foam, and gave out free sweets.

I was in France when the 11s left (THE FRIDAY I CAME BACK!! AIEEEE!) n dunno what craaazy stuff they did.

I believe High School/College is dark-blue (picture turned out a bit dark in scanning) and University is black with a purple lining.

We don't have hats and gown in norway, so I can't really say what mine was :D

But we do have something else, which is "Russ"
And they look like this:

Those white coats are special for Trondheim. Other Russ around the nation doesn't wear coats at all. And a Russ is someone who just finished High School.

Well I quite liked all the pomp. Sadly there was no Elgar present at the ceremony.
