Best online shooter ever, set in WWII, you play Axis or Allies. It isn't a mindless deathmatch, it's team based, at begging you have to choose your class (soldier, engineer, medic, covert ops, field ops). Your goal is to defend or destroy objective (it depends on map and which team your playing)

Besides the game client you should also the download newest patch and ET pro mod because only few people are playing on the bare ET.

How many missions are in it now? Last time I played it, it had 6 missions which wasn't all that much.

There are six maps that come with the game..there are at least 40-50 others, custom made ones.

It's a standalone, based on RTCW engine, it supossed to be a special game, but development got stuck, and it got released on a freeware, becoming what it is today!

It's only a 300 MB download and then you can start playing.

Itðs astonishing how great a small and free game like this can be...

Came on PC Gamer UK's discs last month or a couple of moths age too (I forget which) which is where I got it.

I love to play Field Ops on it (In RCTW this is called Lieutenant).

Uhhh.... nah.... I don't do that. I know people who do but I 'accidentaly' call down Airstrikes where they are camping.

So what is everyone's favourite map?

Mine's a toss-up between Fueldump and Railgun. Radar is awful.

I love this game. I play it all the time. I'm best as an axis player. I wonder why.

Because the Thompson SMG sounds really lame and hence does not inspire you at all, as opposed to the MP40 which sounds really nasty.

I love this game to my fave maps are battery fueldump and two custom maps called temple final (great for snipers) i think, and AE Sniper training which is EXCELLENT!!!! for  aspiring snipers but people exploit this map because axis and allies are cut off so they cant get to each others side with out "cheating" by running across a wire then blasting the other team with a sten. Sadly the game is filled with people who think its funny to spawn kill or use panzers all the time instead of learning to use other weapons proficiently.

Yeah, I also hate guys who runs with panzerfaust and shoots everything which is moving, whichout looking if that's a enemy or not. As for the maps, my favourites are Oasis and Fuel Dump. I play only the oryginal ones, so I don't know any fan made. Which ones are the best??
