[Doubler]

It's been a bit of a rough ride for AR the last year(s). We saw most of the crew and nearly all senior staff disappear, the forums overflowing with bots and an update bugging out the AR forum skin. To get things running smoothly again Frodo and I have been made admin. We're working together with Titan to get things done.

-First of all, and probably most noticable for most users in the long run, SuperTed has graciously offered to help us get our forum back in order. For that: thanks! In due time we may get our cozy colours back
-Second, we're contacting old staff. We'll be able to update our lists and maybe draw some of the staff back, but more importantly we need them to regain acces to the servers. Until we do so, some functions may remain a bit dodgy.
-Thirdly, we intend to start updating the games-to-be-reviewed list again soon.
-Finally, we currently plan to cull the forums a bit. There's a lot of sections that see no activity at all and can either be removed or combined.

In the meantime we plan to continue posting game updates on the main site.

I hope this gave you some insight to what is going on at the moment. We can really use your continuing support. If you want to help we always need more reviews. Moreover, suggestions are also very welcome

Way to go people. I'm looking forward to the forum fixes and everything.

Anyway the site itself hasn't done badly I think. It's okay if most people who download games don't post, so maybe it's a good idea to reduce the number of boards. In any event fixing the forums and getting back the artsy skin in working order can only do good.

Seriously, I'm glad I signed up when I did. I can't wait to see this forum when it's better than ever. After all, I'm seeming to get very comfortable here. We have some really nice members and it's a great working environment to have when your a game creator. I truly do admire each one of you... ()

Thanks for your words of encouragement.  It's great when members like the improvements as much as we do.  I hope you enjoy being here for a long time to come.

can someone explain what or where to find the info on PM. i received a messgae in e-mail that i have a new PM yet i can not access it. is it because of bots working over PM? or am i somehow not activated?

The Private Message system has been disabled for the time being due to a wave of spambots.  We are working on a solution, but please se here for more details.
