Kosta is on the seaside, and he is the only one who can implement it. And with the latest hacker attacks on AB, the security of both sites have priority above a shoutbox. It's a loss, yes. But it is more important that we don't get attacked, and that some hacker deletes the forum completely.

Yes, I miss it too. The only thing I don't quite understand is: if it's because of the server change, how come the shoutbox on AB, which is exactly the same kind of shoutbox (the nifty auto-AJAXing kind) is working fine?

We're on a different server than AB now, in case you didn't know - AB's still on the old one
So, it could be several things. Different servers have different configurations, perhaps the code needs to be tweaked to be compatible with the new configuration.
Or it could be as simple as fixing the bit of code which contains the database login info (it would be different now).
