I can't believe there's so many people who have never played them... really sad, they're so good.

I contributed the book scans for one of them on AB (I thought they were already on? ) - I think QFG2, though it might have been QFG1, I don't remember. I still have all the original boxes, disks, and manuals for all of them, even QFGV (blargh).

The first game was originally titled Hero's Quest, but they changed that to "Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero?"

Definitely an adventure, the only RPG element is that you have a class and stats you need to train, but the interface and gameplay is otherwise adventure style.

You really can't beat old Sierra adventures. The cheekiness and cleverness of many of their titles are just brilliant. Roberta Williams is a genius, she's my idol

Yeah, its a shame that not many people have played them.  They are very underrated games I think.  

*sigh* They don't make games like that anymore.

That's a point.  QFG 1 VGA has updated graphics and a point n click interface.  QFG 1 EGA has a text parsar.

However, I am not able to change the poll.  A few people have already voted anyway.

I liked the Elementals in Part 2 - Earth, Fire, Air and Water.  
You had to find a different way to defeat each of them.  Interesting idea.

I actually liked the last one to come out the most, the kind of actiony one, I liked that one, it was pretty good and long.

I never liked the rest of the series because I thought they all just rehashed the same concept over and over and the box art for number 3 (the only one I own boxed) is absolutely hideous.

I thought the first 4 had more of a story to them than the last one.  They drew you into the game more.
