Also, there's only a small number of hits on Google, and he seems to have actively replied to some directed questions. If this is a bot it seems fairly benevolent and I admire how well made it is.

The LastFM link is legit at least, and Googling him or his post does not seem to make it a typical bot. Still, it's odd that he'd post here of all places...
