Thanks again Doubler. :(

#61172 Ahriman's Prophecy

The probable reason why they are charging that amount for those games is because RPG Maker 2003 and XP are both still being sold, those versions are not freeware anyway. Also probably trying to earn a little bit after the success of this game, honestly 20 bucks isn't that bad.

Have you tried reinstalling RPG Maker 2000? Or alternatively delete RPG Maker 2000, restart, install again and uninstall and reinstall both those games after you have done all that.

Don't believe they are protected but 2, 3 and 5 from the series are still being sold, so its still not legal to put them up for download, 1, 4, and Keen Dreams are freeware though.

No worries, take all the time you need.

#59235 Prelude To Darkness

If it does seem to be nearly completed and there are no glaring issues that may cause some problems for users (good to hear though that there are some users who are continuing to work on the game to fix whatever issues may arise) then it sounds to me that it should be alright for AR.

If your interested in writing a review and all that Pigggy, its all yours.

Just noticed that post, yeah those vids are really cool, plus it just shows that total awesomeness of John Petrucci.

Anyways I found this on ScrewAttacks site, its a WWE battle royal fought with some of the members from Screwattack, the Angry Video Game Nerd, and others, funny mostly for the commentary which is just all out silly.

#59128 Recent Movie/music Buys

Gamma Ray - Land of the Free Part 2, I was really looking forward to this album and was also hoping that the band would not end up screwing it up, as some bands do whenever they do a sequel to a classic album like Land of the Free and needless to say it didn't happen this time around either, its a solid effort by these German rockers, with a lot of catchy numbers and solid power metal all around, its a relief since the trend nowadays among power metal bands it seems is to sell out, its happening more and more. At least Gamma Ray is still not in that group yet.

Yeah this looks really awesome, if I had some cash to plunk down I would totally grab it right now.

#59076 Memorable Concert Experiences

Posted by DeathDude on 14 February 2008 - 08:45 PM in Community Contests, Games, and Role Playing

Well it has been a few days but last Sunday February 10th, was the first of many concerts for me this year, with Sonata Arctica returning to Edmonton and what a show it was. Sonata Arctica was here two years ago at the Starlite Room and they returned to the same place for this concert too, a few unmemorable opening bands Order of Chaos a local band and Sanctity from North Carolina, originally it was supposed to be Visions of Atlantis supporting Sonata, but then there was a huge blowup in that band with their vocalist and guitarist leaving so that scuttled them before the tour even began oh wells.

Starlite room was sold out, much more people this time around then last time, except a different kind of group then 2 years ago, the sound was meh as well, but Sonata tore down the house once again, fantastic show all around, got to see Elias their new guitarist since Jani was booted and wow he was just amazing. Tony sounded even better this nite then 2 years ago but then again he always sounds good, and the rest of the band were solid as well, here was the setlist for that show.

Intro (Victor's Piano Solo from Corpse Bride)
In Black and White
Paid in Full
Victoria's Secret
Broken
The words forgoen he world forgiven
8th Commandment
Shamandalie
Gravenimage
Caleb
Black Sheep
The Worlds Forgotten, The Words Forbidden
Wolf and Raven
Full Moon

Encore
Crowd Interaction + We Will Rock You (Queen)
It Won't Fade
Gravenimage
Don't Say a Word
The Cage +VODKA

An all around great nite and hope Sonata Arctica can come back sooner rather than having to wait another 2 years for them. Also Elias gave a shout out to us from his blog read yesterday as quoted by him: "The show was sold out..Crowd just went nuts. Stage sound wasn´t so good this time, but decent..The show was just one of the best ones on this tour so far. Thanx for that Edmonton." Totally Awesome

As an added bonus here are some pics from the performance that I took.

#58632 Your Favourite Top 5 Computer Game Characters

Posted by DeathDude on 24 January 2008 - 04:47 PM in Forum Guidelines

1. JC Denton (Deus EX) With the numerous ways to complete a game, JC can go from being a stealthy guy to an all out bad *money-maker*, and his voice acting in the game is superb.

2. Guybrush Threepwood (Monkey Island Series) The character that really got me into adventure games back in the day, such a unique character at the time back then, always trying to reach his goal and by Curse of Monkey Island again another fantastically voiced character.

3. Manny Calavera (Grim Fandango) When this game came out, it was so different for Lucasarts at the time, great storyline, setting and music, and Manny with his unique personality, was just one of the fantastic characters in the game.

4. Kyle Katarn - (Star Wars Jedi Knight Series) - He certainly has grown a lot since the early days, this was a solid series, where Kyle who could use both sides of the force and fulfilled many star wars fans who wanted to cut down stormtroopers and other enemies with a lightsaber.

5. Sam and Max (Recent Sam and Max Series moreso) Although paying homage to the earlier game, with the recent revival by Telltale games, these guys are a riot and there is no stopping them anytime soon.

#58547 Legality

Posted by DeathDude on 21 January 2008 - 03:46 PM in RPG Maker 2000

The version of RPG Maker 2000 that AR and AB used to host, was simply the program, minus all the game making components.

I actually thought AR used to host the program here, at least I remember being able to download it here without it linking back to AB, I'm sure once the file gets put back up on AB, we'll change the links here to redirect it to the new location.

How come nobody has requested this? Freeciv is on the site. Is it becuase it's still in version 0.x? Maybe the makers will polish it, but it will be the same game.

If it's apt for addition I'd be willing to review it.

I could've sworn this was already on the list, or at the very least requested, anyways this can go up on the site, the game is actually quite far ahead in development.

Japofan you are free to review it if you like.
