ScummVM is a game engine, designed for playing old adventure games on modern machines. It stands for \'Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion Virtual Machine\'.

Originally, it was only intended for LucasArts adventure games, such as Maniac Machine, Monkey Island, Loom, etc. But today, it\'s scope goes well beyond that, and can run many different games.
