Rod Cousens started his career in interactive entertainment with the founding of Quicksilva in 1981. In 1984, Cousens set up Electric Dreams. In 1985; Cousens was appointed UK Managing Director of Activision and later Vice President International.
In March 1991 he joined Activision with responsibility for the United Kingdom market and distributed territories. He was appointed President of Acclaim Europe in 1993, President and Chief Operating Officer of Acclaim International in 1995 and later on Global President and Chief Operating Officer for Acclaim Entertainment, Inc.
In May 2005 he joined Codemasters as CEO.
